veneer product is derived from natural stone and skilled
craftsmanship. That is
why we hand select our natural granite for maximum character, quality
and consistency in natural in composition.
We know that an aesthetically pleasing stone veneer comes from
only the best ingredients.
| Cultured
Veneers Fall Short |
There are many companies that produce
manufactured and cultured veneers.
This cultured product is used as a substitute for natural
stone. It is not stone but rather it is concrete aggregate poured into
forms and casts, then dyed to look like stone.
It is sometimes only 2 or 4 inches thick, does not cut like
natural stone, and can easily be identified as a substitute.
It has a low grade appearance and little architectural merit.
Additionally, many of these manufactured stones are installed
as veneer by workmen who have no little or no skilled training in
stonework.
The combination of cultured stone
that is installed by unskilled workers, results often in an unsightly
attempt to recreate a natural stone look.
A cultured veneer does not stand the test of time and rarely
does it stand the test of a scrutinizing eye. It is cheap, artificial
and very unattractive as a veneer.
